“This is the safest place to feel everything, the pain, the shame, fear, and healing”
Essex County Family Justice Center—the first Family Justice Center (FJC) in the State of New Jersey—was established in 2010 to provide accessible and coordinated services to victims of domestic violence.
The FJC model meets the diverse needs of victims by bringing government and non-government agencies together in one place to reduce the barriers and fragmentation of existing services.
The mission of Essex County Family Justice Center is to enhance the safety and autonomy of domestic violence victims and their children by providing accessible and coordinated service in one location.
If you or someone you know is a victim of domestic violence, help is available at
Essex County Family Justice Center
